Jojo – although she first came to me as a young ‘just out of college’ dancer – caught my eye as someone who owned herself onstage beyond her years. She brought excitement and glamour to her roles in Swan Lake and her stage presence was perhaps magnified by her sheer love and commitment to the performance.
I knew I could always rely on her to produce honest and heartfelt work to a technically high standard, so what the dance world sadly lost in her, the music world gained.
